Cost Accounting

This course introduces the concepts, tools, and methods of cost accounting used to support planning, control, and decision-making in organizations. Students learn how costs are measured, assigned, and analyzed through systems such as job costing, process costing, and activity-based costing. The course covers cost–volume–profit analysis, budgeting, variance analysis, cost behavior, and relevant-cost decision making. Emphasis is placed on using cost information to evaluate performance, improve operations, and support strategic and managerial decisions.
