Judah Zvi Holland, M.A., LGPC

State College and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy (summa cum laude) from Touro University, along with advanced rabbinic ordination and judicial certification from prominent Jerusalem authorities. As a senior administrator at STAR-K Kosher Certification and former Dean of the Phoenix Community Kollel, Rabbi Holland has managed educational programs, global compliance initiatives, and professional training—skills that enrich his contributions to university governance.

Douglas Magid, M.B.A.

Doug Magid, Vice Chair, is a veteran executive and entrepreneurial leader with an MBA from University of Pennsylvania (Wharton College) and a B.A. in Economics and Psychology from Duke University. As President of Bluedge, Inc., he led a major strategic transformation from traditional print to experiential marketing and technology services. With deep experience in M&A, legal compliance, HR management, and educational program oversight, Mr. Magid brings strategic planning acumen and innovation to Crestpoint’s Board. He has also served as Chairman of ReproMAX and is an accomplished business strategist.

Stephen Haas, J.D.

Stephen Haas, Secretary of the Board, is also the Chief Academic Officer of Crestpoint University. Holding a J.D. from Pace University School of Law (magna cum laude, Mr. Haas has led the academic operations of the university for over 15 years. He spearheaded the founded LawShelf Educational Media project. He is also a former Commissioner of the DEAC and a licensed attorney in multiple states. He has presented at many national conferences on assessment and online learning, developed hundreds of college-level courses, and guided multiple institutions through accreditation. His comprehensive experience in curriculum development, regulatory compliance, and institutional leadership anchors the strategic vision of Crestpoint.

Deanna Sandler, J.D., M.S.W.

Deanna Sandler combines legal expertise with a strong foundation in social work, making her uniquely positioned to support student-centered academic policy. A graduate of the City University of New York School of Law and Columbia University’s School of Social Work, she currently serves as Deputy Legal Defender in Phoenix, Arizona, where she manages complex juvenile and family law caseloads in addition to her work at Crestpoint. Ms. Sandler’s experience as a Peace Corps educator, Assistant Attorney General, and youth counselor reflects a lifelong dedication to service, education, and legal advocacy, aligning closely with the mission of Crestpoint University.

Rosalyn S. Strauss, Ph.D.

Dr. Rosalyn Strauss is a seasoned professor of chemistry and biochemistry with over 25 years of experience across leading academic institutions, including Yeshiva University, Touro College, and City College of New York. She holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the City University of New York, where her research explored enzyme kinetics and spectroscopy. Dr. Strauss has authored laboratory manuals, integrated advanced technology into science education, and trained faculty in laboratory safety and pedagogy. Her scholarly rigor and dedication to instructional excellence make her a strong advocate for academic quality at Crestpoint.

Shari A. Blum, M.S.Ed.

Shari Blum is a lifelong educator and academic strategist with a Master of Science in Education from the University of New England and certification as a Level D Jewish educator from Gratz College. She currently serves as a senior academic adviser and program director at Testing and Training International, where she oversees curriculum planning for allied health programs. With experience as a teacher, school director, and principal, Ms. Blum has developed instructional materials, spearheaded marketing initiatives, and built partnerships with higher education institutions. Her background enhances the Board’s ability to ensure relevant, high-quality programming.

Bernard Weinreb, J.D., CPA

Bernard Weinreb brings nearly four decades of legal experience to the Crestpoint University Board of Trustees, including a distinguished career in litigation and business counsel. A graduate of New York Law School, magna cum laude, Mr. Weinreb has successfully represented clients in federal and state courts, including complex employment and commercial litigation. His background also includes prior roles at prestigious firms such as Proskauer, Rose and Dewey, Ballantine. As a licensed attorney and certified public accountant, Mr. Weinreb offers exceptional insight into legal compliance, risk management, and fiduciary oversight, making him an invaluable asset to the Board.
